S313 - 455 Front St E N12

In January of 2019, my landlord met my partner and me in person to tell us he would be moving into the condo we rented from him upon the end of our lease on April 30th. He told us that his costs had gone up and that he was losing money on the unit, and said that "[he] didn't want to move in", but that "it was [his] only choice". He did not serve us an N12 at this time.

We decided not to fight the eviction, but we asked the landlord for an N12 to protect ourselves from an illegal eviction. He emailed us an N12 on February 28th, stating he was moving into the unit. We subsequently signed a lease on a new apartment for April 1st and sent our current landlord an N9 terminating our tenancy with him as of April 3rd.
