My husband and I have lived in the unit for 8 years.
Last year the landlord came to meet me in person (for the first time) after I requested to renew our lease. He showed up with his daughter, without notifying me, or asking if I would mind if someone else accompanied him. They left my front door unlocked, and the daughter’s husband let himself into the unit without knocking about 10 minutes after they arrived. Again, with no mention to me. I was startled that there was an unannounced stranger walking into my home.
The landlord was impressed by how we cared for, and decorated the unit. He said we were great tenants, and that we could stay as long as we wanted.
Last Wednesday the landlord sent an email saying his daughter was going to be moving into the unit.
