July 31^st, 2018:

LL refuses to resign lease (For 6 years prior I signed a year lease every August) and informs me that we would now be renting on a month-to-month basis until the building sold.

October 5^th 2018:

Received initial notice to vacate due to sale of the building- dated October 1^st but delivered October 5^th… Upstairs neighbours receive identical notice.

October 28^th, 2018:

We reply to October 5^th letter that we did not intend to leave.

November 15^th 2018:

Received N12 form- LL does not officially file it with the LTB.

February 18^th 2019: LTB notice of hearing received.

March 1^st, 2019:

Upstairs neighbours vacate their unit.

April 1^st, 2019:

Downstairs neighbours (retail store) vacate their unit.

April 2^nd, 2019:

New owner comes to our residence to speak with us, disclosing that the building will be renovated upon our immediate departure on May 1^st.

April 10th, 2019:

Hearing at LTB: As we signed a lease on a new apartment in fear of being evicted, we agreed to leave on the 30th of April.
