Landlord informed us he and his spouse needed to move into our unit. They needed somewhere to stay while their home was being sold or renovated. My partner and I moved out.  A few months later when I went by to visit my old neighbour I saw them doing some type of renovations. My neighbour informed me soon after that my landlord moved out and a new tenant moved in - and was paying higher rent than what we paid.
