The landlord informed us in January 2021 that in June of 2021 they were increasing  the rent by 300$ a month in the basement apartment. I refused the illegal increased and even offered to allow previous years increases  to bring us up to the 2020 levels. The landlord still wanted more and I refused. February 1 2021 I received an N12 requiring us to move out at the end of October  2021
