I have stayed in this unit since 2020. I received an N12 from the landlord. He claims his spouse's parents (In-Laws) want to move in.

He has been trying to evict me for the last 3 years with a variety of notices. He tried N13, then tried N5 and now wants to try N12.

He has illegally increased the rent twice since I started living in this unit. The second time he increased the rent I filed an application with LTB and he agreed to refund 50% of the increased rent before the hearing date.

The LTB application was filed and we went to a mediation hearing where we agreed to extend the move out date by a few months. I advise tenants to have everything documented with this landlord and get educated with the Residential Tenancies Act.
